The Pines Region of Mississippi is located in the central eastern  part of the state. It is often called the Black Prairie.

The Tombigbee National Forest, Okatibbee Lake, Bienville National Forest, Clarkco State Park and Lake Lowndes State Park is located here. The Bienville National Forest is listed in the National Register of Trails. It is 23 miles long.
